Vikki's intro to Family Values is so powerful and inspiring. She writes, "I have a daughter. That makes it all the more crucial for me to push aside the fear, to shake off the paralysis that freezes between my shoulder blades, to raise my voice in protest, to begin building a world that I will want her to inherit." Some other pieces written by mothers are "ER to RNC: my first year as an activist mama", "United for Peace and Justice March", "Protesting with Preschooler" and more. I also thought it was very enjoyable that there were photos included taken by young children. We can get a feel of their view of what they experienced at the protest they attended.
